What is Fishing?

Fishing is a whole new way to enjoy the peaceful side of Mir. You can fish in the oceans, lakes and rivers for various fish and items only found in the water.

What can I Fish?
Fish
Fresh fish caught from the water can be used to recover your HP and MP. Eating some fish will cause you to regain HP or MP immediately.

Rare Fish
Some fish are very rare to catch.
These rare fish will increase your HP, MP, or other character stats for a short period of time.

Lost Items
There are some items that travelers lost in the water.
These items can be used to craft new items.

Rusty Items
The weapons and armor used in undersea battles can be fished as well. This armor is too rusty to be worn, but the Craftlady should be able to make use of it.

Mossy Items
These treasure boxes are from sunken ships. Some boxes may have precious items, but they are hard to find.

When is the best time to fish?

Fish activity will be at a minimum during the day, and will begin to get more and more active as the night progresses until early morning of the next day. You can fish at anytime of the day by the water, but you will have the best success early in the morning.

Where can I fish?

You can fish anywhere near a body of water in Mir if you are equipped with a fishing rod, fishline & hook. You won’t be able to fish if you are by a small puddle or inside of a cave or if you cannot get close enough to the water.

Getting Ready

Equip yourself with a ‘Fishing Rod’ and ‘Fishline and Hook’, and move near the water. The fishing equipment can be purchased from the fishing NPC ‘Ian’, crafted by the Craftslady, or purchased from the PotCash shop. The best fishing areas in Mir are in Bichon, Woomyon Woods, Mongchon, Prajna Island, and Past Bichon.
